Trotterscliffe is a parish in Malling district, Kent; 2-3/4 miles northwest of West Malling, and 4 miles west-by-south of Snodland rail station. It is also known by the name of Trosley. The manor was given, in 788, to Rochester priory; passed to the Bishops of Rochester; and had a palace of theirs, built in 1185. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Canterbury. Value, £356 with a habitable glebe house. Patron, the Bishop of Worcester. The church is ancient and modernized.
