Ulcombe is, ecclesiastically, in the diocese of Canterbury, in the archdeaconry of Canterbury and in the deanery of Sutton.  The church is named for All Saints with registers commencing 1560.

Ulcombe, a parish, with a village, in Hollingbourn district, Kent;  4 miles north-north-east of Headcorn rail station, and 6 northeast of Staplehurst.  It has a post office under Staplehurst.  Acres, 3,529.  Real property in 1860, £ 4,498.  Population in 1861, 621.  Houses, 135.

The manor, with Ulcombe Place, belongs to the trustees of the late Honourable C. H. Wandesford.

The living is a rectory in the diocese of Canterbury.  Value, £600 with a habitable glebe house.  Patrons, the Trustees of the late Honourable C. H. Wadesford.  The church is early and decorated English, includes a chapel founded by the St. Leger family, was once collegiate, and has been repaired.
