    • One source gives wife of Richard Arderne as being Margaret Greene presumed daughter of Sir Thomas Greene of Northamptonshire.

      Sussex visitation of 1530, p. 195 shows Richard Arderne marrying Mary, daughter of Thomas Green of West Marne, Sussex. However, the only children listed are: Thomas, George, Richard and Catherine. No daughter Alice is mentioned. Yet, it is Alice Arderne the supposed daughter of Richard Arderne and Margaret Greene who married John Denne.
