- On the very same day as this baptism was the baptism of Elizabeth daughter of John, Esq. and Frances Thomson. This strongly suggests that there is a familial tie between the two families. After further investigation I discovered that the connection was through Frances Thomson, who was his biological sister. John Thomson, Esq. and Frances Thomson were cousins of each other.
