      In the name of God, Amen, I, JOHN MILSTED, of the Town of Faversham, in the County of Kent, yeoman, being sick and infirm in body but of sound and perfect mind, memory and understanding (praised be Almighty God therefor) do make, publish and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following (that is to say)

      First, I recommend my Soul into the hands of Almighty God in hopes of attaining everlasting life after death through the alons merits and mediation of my Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and my body I commit to the earth to be decently interred in Christian burial at the discretion of my Executrix hereinafter named, and as for my worldly estate I give and dispose thereof in manner and form following, that is to say

      Item, my will and mind is that all my just debts be fully paid and satisfied with all convenient speed after my decease.

      Item, I give, devise and bequeath unto my loving wife, EDITH MILSTED, all my messuages, lands, tenements, hereditaments and premises whatsoever, situate, lying and being in the Town of Faversham aforesaid and Chilham, or elsewhere in the said County of Kent for and during the term of her natural life and from and immediately after her decease, I give, devise and bequeath the said messuages, lands, tenements, hereditaments and premises unto my tow brothers, FRANCIS MILSTED AND GEORGE MILSTED, and to their heirs and assigns forever, equally to be divided between them, share and part alike.

      Item all the rest, residue and remainder of my goods, cattle, chattels, ready money, plate, linen wares, effects, real and personal estate, whatsoever and wheresoever not hereinbefore disposed of, (my debts, funeral and other incident charges in proving this my Will or otherwise being first paid and defrayed) I give and bequeath unto my said loving wife, EDITH MILSTED.

      Item I do hereby make, nominate, constitute and appoint my said loving wife, EDITH MILSTED, full and sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament thereby revoking all former Wills and Testaments.

      IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I the said JOHN MILSTED, the Testator have to this my last Will and Testament contained in One sheet of paper, set my hand and seal this thirtieth day of January in the third year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord King George, the Second, over Great Britain and Anno Domini 1729.

      SIGNED, SEALED, PUBLISHED AND DECLARED by the
      Said JOHN MILSTED, the Testator as and for his last
      Will and Testament in the presence of us who at the John Milsted
      Request and in his presence subscribed our names as
      Witnesses hereunto.
