Will of Catherine Ruck of Lynsted, 29 May 1833
This is the last will and testament of me CATHERINE RUCK of Linsted [Lynsted] in the County of Kent, spinster, made the twenty-ninth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty-three.
First, I hereby revoke all former Wills by me made and of this my last Will and Testament do constitute and appoint my nephew, JOHN COBB. of Boughton-under-Blean in the said County, farmer, and LAW COBB, of Sheldwich in the said County, farmer, Executors.
And I give and bequeath unto them, the said JOHN COBB and LAW COBB, the sum of nineteen guineas a piece of lawful money Great Britain for their own respective uses.
Also, I give and bequeath unto my niece MARY, the wife of WILLIAM CHAPMAN, and DOROTHY COBB and ELIZABETH COBB, spinsters, the sum of ten pounds [£10] a piece of like lawful money for their own respective uses.
And as to all the rest and residue of my goods, chattels, household furniture, plate, china and linen, ready money, money in the public stocks or funds or otherwise due to me and all and every other my personal estate and effects whatsoever and wheresoever that shall remain and be left after payment of all my just debts, legacies, funeral charges, the costs of proving this my Will and other incidental expenses I give and bequeath the same and every part thereof unto my nephews and nieces MARTHA LEESE, spinster, BEDDINGFIELD HENRY LEESE, JOHN LEESE and JOANNA LEESE, spinster, equally to be divided between them share and share alike to and for their own respective uses, provided always and I do declare my will to be that the sum of three hundred and twenty pounds [£320] which I have advanced to or for the use of my said niece, MARTHA LEESE, be by her accounted for and considered as a part of her share in the residue of my personal estate and I do further declare my will to be that my said Executors shall not be answerable the one for the other of them or for involuntary losses and that it shall be lawful for them to reimburse themselves respectively all losses, costs and expenses which they or either of them may be put unto or sustain for or by reason of this my Will.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set and affixed my hand and seal the day and year first above written.

named CATHERINE RUCK, the Testatrix, as and for her
last Will and Testament in the presence of us who, Catharine [sic] Ruck
at her request in her presence and in the presence
of each other, have hereunto subscribed our names
as witnesses.

PROVED at London the 8th January 1835 before the Judge by the oaths of JOHN COBB and LAW COBB, the nephews, the Executors to whom administration was granted having been for sworn by commission duly to administer.
