- [S58] 1861 Census, England, Office of National Statistics, General Register Office, Kew, Surrey, England, (U.S.A., Salt Lake City: Genealogical Society of Utah), LDS Film #0542655, Dist. 8, folio 157, page 5, Faversham, 7 Apr 1861.
Schedule #28, West Street: John Hutchings, head, married, 67, furniture broker employing 3 men, born at Wycomb, Buckinghamshire; Sarah, wife, married, 66, born at Faversham; George, son, unmarried 28, cabinet maker, born at Wycombe, Buckinghamshire.
Scanty evidence would suggest that this fellow also had a son named Henry Hutchings who appears in Faversham in 1871. Henry is related, in some capacity through his wife, Charlotte, to Alfred James Deacon, who ultimately married Edith Duncan, the daughter of George Duncan and Elizabeth Gregory.
