      This is the last Will and Testament of me, EZEKIEL BROADBRIDGE, of Faversham, in the County of Kent, coal merchant, made this fifth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventeen and in the fifty seventh year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the third by the Grace of God of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, King, defender of the faith,

      First, I do hereby revoke and make void all former and other Wills and Codicils by me at any time heretofore made.

      I will and direct that all my just debts funeral expences, the charges of proving this my Will and all other incidental expences shall in the first place be fully paid and satisfied.

      I give and bequeath unto ELIZABETH, my wife, all her cloathes and wearing apparel of every sort and kind and also the sum of twenty pounds of lawful money of Great Britain to be paid her within one month next after my decease to buy her mourning and other necessaries.

      And as to all the rest and residue of my ready monies and securitis for money, household goods, implements of household, plate, linen, china, stock in trade, debts, goods, chateels, effects and personal estate whatsoever and wheresoever and of what nature, kind or quality soever, the same may be whereof I shall die possessed or which shall be any ways due, owing, coming or belonging unto me at the time of my decease, I give and bequeath the same and all my estate and interests therein unto and equally between the said ELIZABETH, my wife, and my son GEORGE BROADBRIDGE, their executors, administrators and assigns. And it is my express wish and I do hereby request that they continue to live together and carry on my business together for their equal and mutual benefit and advantage. Also I give and devise all my messuages, lands, tenements, hereditaments and real estate whatsoever situate lying and being in Faversham aforesaid and elsewhere unto and equally between my said wife and son when he shall have attained the age of twenty one years to hold the same unto and to the use of them the said ELIZABETH, my wife, and son, GEORGE BROADBRIDGE, their heirs and assigns for ever equally to be divided between them share and share alike as tenants in common and not as joint tenants when he the said GEORGE BROADBRIDGE shall have attained the age of twenty-one years. But if the said GEORGE BROADBRIDGE shall die under the age of twenty-one years then and in such case I give and devise the whole of my said messuages, lands, tenements, hereditaments and real estate in Faversham and elsewhere unto the said ELIZABETH, my wife, her heirs and assigns forever and I do hereby nominate, constitute and appoint the said ELIZABETH, my wife, and my said son, GEORGE BROADBRIDGE, joint Executors of this my last Will and Testament and I do hereby declare that it shall and may be lawful to and for them and each of them to reimburse themselves, himself and herself respectively, all such costs, charges and expenses which they or either of them shall bear, pay, sustain, expense or be put unto in the execution of this my Will, together with a proper allowance for their journeys, trouble and loss of time and that the one of them shall not be answerable or accountable for the other of them or for the acts, deeds or receipts of the other of them, nor for any loss that may happen to my said onies, estate and premses or any part thereof wthout their, his or her wilful neglect or dfault.

      IN WITNESS WHEREOF I, the said EZEKIEL BROADBRIDGE, the Testator, have to this my last Will and Testament contained in this and the preceeding sheet of paper set my hand and seal (to wit) my hand to the preceeding sheet and my hand and seal to this last shee thereof the day and year above written.

      sealed by the above name EZEKIEL BROADBRIDGE, the Testator, and by him
      published and declared as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of
      us, who have hereunto subscribed our names as witness thereto in his presence at
      his request and in the presence of each other.

      PROVED at London the 20th August 1836 before the Judge by the oath of ELIZABETH BROADBRIDGE, widow, the relict, and GEORGE BROADBRIDGE, the son, the Executors to whom administration was graned having been first sworn by commission only to administer.
