    • Doing a speculative search of the 1881 census index has produced a possible husband for Lucy Ruck. Search parameters were name, year and place of birth - in this case: Lucy, 1836+/-3, Lenham. A match was returned whereby a Lucy was the wife of Thomas Caryer aged 52 born Minster Sheppey. They were living at Little Rides Farm in Eastchurch on Sheppey with son Charles W. aged 16 also born at Eastchurch.
