      231. Flat stone by entrance to North Chancel. Here lyeth the body of William WHITFIELD of this parish Gent. He departed this life February ye 13th, 1733, aged 71. He left issue by Martha his wife sons and two daughters, viz., James, William, Ann and Martha. A coat of arms above but now worn plane. Register. 19th February, 1733/4, William Whitfeld Gent.
