Migrated to Australia 1898. Had 13 children. Two children died in England prior to leaving.
A witness to the marriage was Lena RUCK (possible sister, sister in law or paternal relation). At the time of Agnes marriage, John RUCK had died and on Agnes Marriage Cert it states that his profession was "merchant" his widow and Mary was living in Old Kent Road.Agnes Elizabeth had 2 daughters who as adults recounted stories of hunting for bluebells in the woods around Tulse HIll, Surrey.Agnes and her husband James AUSTEN, their 13 children and James' parents all migrated to Australia in 1898. 2 children died in the UK prior to embarkation and 1 more child was born in Australia. There seems to also be some possible connection to a Lord Mayor of London - Sir William ROSE, but that is still shrouded in mystery.
