Burmarsh

Burmarsh is, ecclesiastically, in the diocese of Canterbury, in the archdeaconry of Canterbury and in the deaneries of North and South Lympne.  The church is named for All Saints with registers commencing 1572.

Burmarsh, a parish in Romney Marsh district, Kent;  on the coast, adjacent to the Military canal, 3 miles south-south-west of Westernhanger rail station, and 4 miles southwest-by-west of Hythe.  Post town, Dymchurch, under Folkstone.  Acres, 1,796.  Real property in 1860, £4,612.  Population in 1861, 179.  Houses, 32.  The property is much subdivided.

The living is a rectory in the diocese of Canterbury.  Value, £220.  Patron, the Lord Chancellor.  The church is good. ¹
