of Hollingbourne, Kent, 1805

This is the Last Will and Testament of me Elizabeth Barham of the Parish of Hollingbourne in the County of Kent being of sound mind and memory and understanding Praised be God for the same

ffirst I commit my soul into the hands of Almighty God my Creator hopeing for remission of all my sins by the merrits and mediation of my Saviour Jesus Christ and my Body I Commit to the Earth to be decently and frugally interred at the discretion of my Executors hereinafter named and as to my Worldly Estate I order and dispose of as follows

ffirst I Order my just debts ffuneral expences the Cost of proving this my Will and all other incidental charges and expences be discharged by my Executors at all Convenient speed And I do hereby Nominate and appoint Richard Ballard of Thurnham in the County of Kent and Daniel Newman of Hollingbourne in the County of Kent Paper maker Executors in Trust of this my Will

I give and bequeath to the said Richard Ballard and his heirs all my Estate in Eyhome Street Consisting of Houses or Tenements in the Several Occupations of my said self John Knight John Price Alexander Gill with Gardens and Appurtenances thereunto belonging but I Order and direct that all the said Houses and Appurtenances shall be enjoyed by my beloved Husband Uriah Barham during his natural Life the Interest of the whole of my Stock in the Bank of England and all other Securities for money all the Interest of which said monies I direct to be received by my said Husband Uriah Barham

I give and bequeath to my said Husband all my Household goods Linnen and Wearing Apparel and after the decease of my said Husband I give and bequeath unto Sarah Culver Wife of John Culver in the Parish of Ash in the County of Kent the Sum of fforty Pounds

I give and bequeath unto my Niece Susannah Selling of the Parish of Doddington in the said County the Sum of fforty Pounds

I give and bequeath unto Elizabeth Spice Widow of Thomas Spice of Hucking in the said County the Sum of Ten Pounds

I give and bequeath unto Rebecca Baxter of Maidstone the Sum of ffive Pounds

I give and bequeath unto Hannah Jenner Wife of John Jenner junior of the Parish of Hollinghurst Blacksmith the Sum of ffive Pounds

I give and bequeath unto Richard Ballard and Daniel Newman my Executors to each of them Twenty pounds

all which several Legacies I desire shall be paid out of my ffour Per Cent Annuities in the Bank of England Bills Bonds Notes of Hand Monies and all Securities for money to be paid by my Executors within Six Calendar Months after the decease of my Husband Uriah Barham

And all the rest and remainder of my Estate and every part thereof I give and bequeath to the aforesaid Richard Ballard his Executors Administrators and assigns absolute for ever
